MINING
Bird River Mines Inc. (BRMI) is a Manitoba Company incorporated in March, 1958. BRMI is a public reporting issuer whose common shares are listed on the CNQ Stock Exchange. BRMI is engaged in the exploration and development of precious metals, base metals and industrial metals. BRMI holds a key block of claims in the Bird River Sill area of Manitoba.

This area is presently experiencing significant mining exploration activity through our Joint Venture partner Marathon PGM Corporation under the stellar leadership of Phillip Walford. On April 27, 2008 Marathon stated that under its expenditure agreement with Bird River Mines they have reached 50% ownership of the Ore Fault and Lotus claims. Marathon also stated that their present drilling expenditures would increase to a 70% participating interest in the property.

The 70% interest level will trigger a put/call arrangement that will enable Marathon to purchase the balance of the property for one million, four hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($1,450,000.00). Bird River Mines will retain a 1% Net Smelter Royalty.

SHORELINE PROJECT
Bird River Mines Inc. experienced management team and Board of Directors continue to move the Company towards recognition as an active diversified exploration company. Bird River Mines Inc. In August, 2007 was granted two exploration permits totaling 10,338 hectares in the Lake Winnipegosis area 360 kilometers Northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

5,254 hectares is just South Denby point on the East shore and 5,084 hectares is just Southwest of Pemmican Island on the West shore. Drilling is expected to start in late June off of Pemmican Island by Klyne Exploration. Click here for the complete report in pdf format.
